Councillor Code of Conduct
This is a document explaining the role and expected conduct of Councillors.
In accordance with the Localism Act 2011 ss 26 to 37, all Councillor’s must observe a local Code of Conduct to ensure high standards in the way they undertake their official duties.
In 2020 a new Model Councillor Code of Conduct 2020 was produced by the Local Government Association (LGA). The aim of the new code is for it to be adopted by all levels of local government which effectively makes it a national Code.
At the Parish Council Meeting held on the 10/10/2023 the Council adopted the Councillor Code of Conduct 2020.
Please view a copy of the Councillor Code of Conduct 2020 at the bottom of the page.
